 The plant located in Shanghai, China is a leader in providing next generation telecommunications networks, and now serves 31 of the world's top 50 operators, along with over one billion users worldwide.
Due to the need to control higher pressure in the clean room itself, as well as maintain high quality air for the employees, a significant amount of fresh air is introduced into the facility.
The climate in Shanghai is cold and dry in 4 month of the year, and moderate as well as highly humid during the remaining 8 months.
While in winter the solution is quite simple – heating the fresh air, during the rest of the year the energy requirement as well as customized solutions become far more complicated.
 The plant management, being a subsidiary of the global company who is fully aware of the environmental aspects of using traditional A\C systems regarding global warming and other energy related issues, has decided to implement advanced technologies in its new production facility.
To maintain the required dry clean air in the plant, the company selected the DuCool fresh air system, a liquid desiccant based technology
Two DuCool DuTreat units 3400 model were installed in the brand new clean room facilities located in the Song Jiang industrial park in Shanghai.
After evaluation, the plant found that the actual energy savings achieved by installing the DuCool DuTreat units result in over 33,000 USD per year.
