The German plant manufactures artificial plastic sausage casings for the application of scalded, smoked, boiled or steamed sausages, pies, soups, vegetables and raw meat sausages.
The casings are resistant to cooking and sterilizing up to 1200 ºC
(2192 °F).

They can be stuffed either by hand or by an industrial stuffing machines and are available in many colors. The casings are composed of raw materials, taking into account strength, size uniformity, peel ability and adhesion.
The plant chose the DuCool DuTreat unit to treat the area where the casings are washed and oiled by machines. Since the casings are washed with hot water in pools, when the pools are open the moisture in the air rises and causes a threat of mold. The DuTreat unit which is insalled outdoors, dehumidifies the space, prevents mold and maintains the requested humidity levels for high performance production.
